Virginia Emergency Standard Forms Generator (VES Forms Generator) Available to Help Employers Comply with
Virginia’s COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard
August 26, 2020…McLean, VA…Employer compliance to Virginia’s COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (Standard) requires mandatory actions in order to protect employees from potential infection from the coronavirus. To avoid confusion when attempting to interpret the new law, and to facilitate implementation of these mandates, Business Compliance, LLC, in conjunction with the law firm General Counsel, P.C., developed and made available to employers the COVID-19 Virginia Emergency Standard Forms Generator (“VES Forms Generator”).
The VES Forms Generator provides an easy-to-follow and inexpensive method for Virginia employers to access the forms, training, and documents required to comply with the Standard. The VES Forms Generator is accessible at: https://www.generalcounsellaw.com/ves_forms_generator/ or www.covidcomplianceplans.com.
Employers need only to answer a short series of up to five questions to customize the exact forms and training required for their type and size of business. Within the packet, employers have access to the following documents:
• Employer Checklist
• Door/Window Poster
• Employee Checklist
• Return to Work Plans
• Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan
• Employee Acknowledgement Form
• Employee Training Packet
“Thank you so much for creating this,” exclaimed Ariel Mastbrook, Team Support Agent at Schroeder Design/Build, Inc. “Last week I spent 4 hours reading the Emergency Temporary Standard and was going cross-eyed. I was nervous about having to put together a whole plan and training course when I could barely understand what I was reading.”
“Your questionnaire was short, easy to understand, and easy to use,” she continued. “After seeing the checklists in your packet, I was happy to see that the notes I took resembled what you had laid out as an experienced Employment Lawyer. When I scrolled through the documents and saw the Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan, and Return to Work Plan, I was excited that I will not have to write them out myself from scratch. And then when I saw the training program, I was even more ecstatic. I would highly recommend this to others. The value far surpasses the $250-$350 price tag. The amount of time this saved me is intangible. I’d give it a 10!”
VES Forms Generator documents are based on information provided by the employer, but do not establish an attorney/client relationship between the employer and General Counsel, P.C. They are for the exclusive use of the company which purchased the package and are protected by copyright.
“We took the work out of interpreting the Standard to make it easy to Virginia businesses to comply,” said Merritt Green, Founder/Managing Partner of McLean-based Employment Law firm General Counsel, P.C. “The deadline for compliance was August 26, 2020, but for those companies still struggling to meet their requirements, the documents provided can greatly expedite the process and bring them quickly into compliance.”
