David Kaye focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture, equity and debt financings (including strategic, seed, and angel financings), joint ventures and strategic alliances, and the general corporate representation of both established and emerging growth companies. He also advises clients on the formation and structuring of new business entities, licensing and commercial contracting matters, general employment and equity compensation matters, business planning, and corporate governance issues. His experience covers a wide range of industry sectors including telecommunications, software, internet, new media, retail, health care, financial services, and manufacturing fields.
In addition, David has extensive experience representing venture capital, corporate, and strategic investors, as well as private equity sponsors, founders, managers, and boards of start-ups and established companies, and principals of venture capital and other funds. David has experience serving as General Counsel of high growth enterprises, as a principal investor, as an investment banker, and as a member of the Boards of companies in the technology, government services, and financial services industries. David began his career as a corporate attorney with Hogan Lovells.
David earned his J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University, where he was on the Editorial Board of the Environmental Lawyer. David earned his B.B.A. in finance, summa cum laude, from George Washington University. He is a member of the bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
