Christopher Davis joined General Counsel, P.C. as Senior Counsel in 2014 and leads the Franchise group. He has experience in all areas of franchise disputes, from non-compete and unlawful termination claims to a multi-billion dollar class action before an MDL panel. He has experience in franchise formation, ongoing franchise compliance and registration, and related franchising issues such as advertising compliance, trademark, financial products and UDAP.
Prior to joining General Counsel, P.C., Chris spent six years as Corporate Counsel to a large franchisor in Virginia Beach, Virginia with over 4,000 franchisees internationally. He also founded Davis Law, PLLC, a boutique firm in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he litigated small business disputes. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was the C.I.O. for an Internet Service provider in Buffalo, NY.
Chris received his J.D. and MBA from Regent University School and Law and School of Business (2007). He received a Certificate Of Graduate Studies in International Politics from the Robertson School of Government (2007). In 2004 and 2005, he did graduate work at Hertford College, Oxford University. He received his undergraduate degree from Elim Bible Institute in Rochester, NY (2004).
