Mark E. Ricardo concentrates his practice on commercial real estate, tax and business transactions. His experience includes retail and office leasing, real estate acquisitions and sales, and commercial contracts. Mr. Ricardo also has experience in the areas of corporate and partnership taxation, taxation of financial instruments, taxation of regulated investment companies and real estate investment trusts, state and local taxation, federal excise taxation and tax controversies.
Mr. Ricardo received his B.A. cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1991, his J.D. cum laude from Syracuse University in 1997 and a joint LL.M in taxation and securities and financial regulation from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2000. As a J.D. candidate, Mr. Ricardo was nominated to the Justinian Honorary Law Society and was an editor of the Syracuse Journal of Legislation & Policy. He is a member of the District of Columbia and North Carolina Bars.
