Ms. Kelty has over 15 years experience representing and advising companies in a variety of critical corporate business areas with a focus on labor and employment law.  She also advises and assists businesses in consummating corporate asset and real estate acquisitions and dispositions; securing corporate loan facilities; reviewing, negotiating and drafting contracts; reviewing and negotiating commercial lease agreements; closing mergers and acquisitions and general corporate representation.  Prior to joining General Counsel, P.C., Ms. Kelty served as general counsel for the Journal Newspapers for approximately ten years.  During this time, Ms. Kelty was responsible for all corporate legal matters of this daily newspaper publisher, which during Ms. Kelty's tenure had over 200 employees and multiple offices in Virginia and Maryland.  Ms. Kelty utilizes this vast experience to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Jessica received her J.D. from the George Mason University School of Law (1992) and her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia (1988).
