Andrew Aitken's practice includes all aspects of intellectual property protection including patent, trademark and copyright matters. Mr. Aitken has litigated numerous patent, trademark, trade dress, and copyright matters before the federal courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Board of Patent Examiners. Mr. Aitken also prepares and prosecutes patent and trademark applications in the U.S. and throughout the world. He has prepared numerous patents in diverse technologies including surgical implants, near infrared spectroscopy, neural networks, the detection of biological warfare agents, software and electro-mechanical amusement games. Mr. Aitken also counsels clients on patent infringement, validity and licensing matters. Andy was recognized as a ""Top Washington Lawyer"" in 2004 by Washingtonian magazine.
