Founded by Merritt Green in 2004, the goal of General Counsel, P.C. is to become the " legal partner and trusted advisor " of our clients. We provide legal representation to businesses and non-profit organizations throughout Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. For each of these clients, we strive to provide proactive legal services that complements the corporate or organizational goals of our clients.

Most large corporations will have "in-house" general counsel who are employees of the corporation. These attorneys are familiar with the corporation's business methods and objectives. At General Counsel, P.C., our goal is to fulfill a similar role for smaller businesses that do not have the resources (or do not want to spend the money) to have in "in-house" general counsel. We work to understand our clients' business methods and objectives, which allows our attorneys to provide better and more cost effective representation.
